# 1) Install the Syride Link communication software

Even though you can use your instrument via Bluetooth with the **Syride Link mobile application** (iOS and Android), installing the **Syride Link software on a computer** is recommended.

It enables faster data transfers and provides access to certain features that are not available on the mobile application.

⚠️ **Important note:** V4 range instruments are not compatible with our legacy software **SYS PC Tool**.\
They work exclusively with **Syride Link**, a fully redesigned software created to support the evolution of the new generation of Syride instruments.

1. Download the latest version of the software by visiting the following page and selecting your instrument:\
   <http://www.syride.com/en/logiciel>
2. Follow the instructions to install it on your computer (**Windows, Linux, or macOS**). Make sure to allow the software to communicate with the Internet.
3. Launch **Syride Link** when you want to connect your instrument.\
   Instrument and software updates will be automatically offered when available.

⚠️ **Important note:** Syride Link no longer launches automatically when your computer starts, unlike the previous **SYS PC Tool**.
