# 11) G-meter alarm

If the measured acceleration exceeds the threshold defined in the advanced settings (**2.5 g by default**), a siren-type sound alarm is automatically triggered at maximum volume, even if the variometer sound is disabled.

This alarm is designed to immediately draw your attention, typically during a committed maneuver.

⚠️ **Important note:** The **2.5 g** threshold corresponds to a level of acceleration at which piloting abilities may begin to be affected. It becomes more difficult to perform precise control inputs, and the risk of losing control increases.

This threshold can be adjusted in the advanced settings via the **Syride Link** software.
