# 15) Using Bluetooth with the Syride application

We recommend connecting your instrument to the **Syride Link** mobile application via Bluetooth before each flight.

This connection allows you to benefit from many advanced features that improve safety, comfort, and flight analysis.

#### **Live tracking (safety)**

The **Syride Link** application allows real-time tracking of your position (live tracking).

This feature enables your relatives or team to follow your flight and makes it easier to locate you if needed.

#### **Automatic flight transfer (convenience)**

When the instrument is connected to the application, your flights can be automatically transferred to your phone and your Syride flight logbook right after landing.

This ensures your flights are saved without any manual action.

#### **High-resolution color map**

The application provides a detailed color map, serving as an excellent complement to the instrument. It expands visualization while preserving the immediate readability and optimized display of the Syride screen for flight.

#### **Access to advanced settings**

Connecting to the application also provides access to the instrument settings, including:

* advanced configuration,
* updates,
* file transfer,
* maintenance and diagnostic functions.

⚠️ **Important note:** For **Alti V4** instruments, a Bluetooth connection to the **Syride Link** application is required to enable flight recording, as GPS data is provided by the application.
