# 2) Positioning the instrument in flight

Syride recommends positioning your instrument on the **riser of your wing**.

The two Velcro straps allow for a **simple and secure attachment**, compatible with all risers.

Make sure not to trap the **accelerator cord or pulley** inside the Velcro straps during installation.

When positioned on the riser, the instrument remains **easily accessible in flight**, allowing you to operate it without releasing the controls or taking your eyes off your heading.

⚠️ **Important note:** For exclusive use on risers, it is possible to reverse the Velcro straps in order to position the **soft side** against the riser. This helps preserve the fabric and maintain its appearance over time.

To do this, remove and reposition the Velcro straps **one at a time**. Never remove both Velcro straps simultaneously, as this could cause the housing to open, which would void the warranty.

When reassembling, make sure not to overtighten the screws. Excessive tightening may damage the threads. Tighten only until the Velcro is properly secured, without forcing.

If necessary, we recommend placing a protective layer between the Velcro and your riser to prevent wear or fabric pilling.Si nécessaire nous vous recommandons d’intercaler une protection entre le velcro et votre élévateur afin d’éviter toute usure ou peluchage du textile.

The Velcro straps also allow the instrument to be mounted on a **cockpit**, on a **leg strap** (using an extension), on a **front mount support** (such as a Hi9600), or on the **wrist**.

You can also secure the instrument using the **supplied safety lanyard**.
