3) Charging the battery and battery life

To charge your instrument, simply connect the instrument’s USB-C port to a USB power source (computer, wall charger, power bank, etc.).
You can check the charge status directly on the instrument’s screen. The charge LEDs also indicate the status:
Red LED: instrument charging
Blue LED: battery fully charged
A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
The instrument can be used normally while charging, including during flight.
To stop charging, simply disconnect the USB-C cable. The Li-ion battery has no memory effect.
⚠️ Important note: To preserve battery lifespan, in case of long-term storage (several months), it is recommended to keep the instrument at around 60% charge. Avoid storing the instrument with a fully discharged or fully charged battery for extended periods.
⚠️ Important note: Avoid exposing the instrument to high temperatures (for example behind a windshield in direct sunlight or near a heat source), especially while charging. High temperatures accelerate battery aging.
⚠️ Important note: To ensure optimal charging and instrument safety, use a compliant USB charger. Charging via a computer USB port, power bank, or standard wall charger is perfectly suitable.
Battery life depends on several usage parameters. Depending on the selected settings, it can vary significantly.
