# 7) Configuring advanced settings

For ergonomics reasons, settings that are used occasionally are only accessible via the **Syride Link** software on a computer or through the **Syride Link** mobile application via Bluetooth.

These interfaces provide access to an advanced options menu, allowing you to:

* modify the G-meter alarm trigger threshold,
* enable the **“Mute on ground”** function, which automatically activates the variometer only after takeoff (GPS only),
* adjust the screen contrast,
* set the auto power-off delay,
* access the troubleshooting menu, allowing certain maintenance operations such as restoring factory settings or recalibrating sensors.

***

### Access from a computer (USB)

1. Turn on the instrument and connect it to your computer using the USB-C cable.
2. Launch the **Syride Link** software.
3. Click on **“Instrument settings”**.
4. Modify the desired options.

Changes are applied immediately and automatically to the instrument.

### Access from the mobile application (Bluetooth)

1. Turn on the instrument and enable Bluetooth (see previous section).
2. Open the **Syride Link** application on your phone.
3. Connect the instrument from within the application.

⚠️ **Important note:** Do not pair the instrument from your phone’s Bluetooth settings. The connection must be made only through the **Syride Link** application.

4. Tap the Bluetooth icon in the bottom menu of the application.
5. Tap **“Instrument settings”**.
6. Modify the desired options.

Changes are applied immediately to the instrument.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://manuals.syride.com/english-manual-alti-and-gps-v4/7-configuring-advanced-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
