# XIV.   Navigation: Add, edit, delete waypoints

To access this page, swipe up on a flight screen to reveal the menus then tap the “Navigation” icon then the "Add, edit, delete waypoints" icon. Waypoints are sorted alphabetically.\

* Adding a new waypoint is done with the "+" button. Creating a waypoint requires: a name, coordinates and an altitude (optional). This altitude is used to calculate the “glide to waypoint” item. Otherwise the topographic altitude of that point will be used automatically.
* Editing a waypoint is done with the button containing a pen.
* Deletion with the icon containing a trash can.
* You can navigate between pages with the arrows at the top of the screen.

⚠️ **Important note:** If you already have a waypoint file, it is possible to import them into the instrument from the Link software or the Syride app with a more suitable interface. You must click on the “S*end a file to my instrument »*. Waypoints must be in OziExplorer or CompeGPS format.
