1) Quick start

The Solar has been designed to be simple and intuitive. A single button allows you to control all essential functions.

Turning on the Solar

To turn on the Solar, press and hold the button until you hear the startup melody. The blue LED then flashes to indicate that the instrument is operating.

A series of beeps informs you of the battery level:

• 3 beeps: high battery level

• 2 beeps: sufficient battery level

• 1 beep: low battery

If the battery is too low, the instrument will not be able to start. Recharge it via USB or expose it to light.

Once turned on, the Solar immediately starts measuring your vertical speed.

Turning off the Solar

To turn off the Solar, press and hold the button until you hear the shutdown melody.

Adjusting the volume

A short press of the button allows you to change the variometer sound volume.

Five volume levels are available, allowing you to adapt the sound to your preferences and flight conditions.

Each volume change is immediately applied and confirmed by an audible signal.

Automatic operation

The Solar operates fully automatically:

• the variometer starts as soon as it is turned on,

• no action is required in flight,

• Bluetooth connections are made automatically with compatible applications.
