6) Flight recording with Syride Link

The Solar allows you to record your flights when it is connected to the Syride Link application on your smartphone.

The Solar provides variometer data, while your phone provides the GPS data required for flight recording.

This data is combined to create a complete flight file, automatically added to your Syride flight book.

Starting the recording

Flight recording is fully automatic.

To record a flight:

• Turn on the Solar.

• Open the Syride Link application on your phone.

• Connect the Solar to the application via Bluetooth.

The application automatically detects takeoff and starts recording the flight.

During the flight During the flight, the application continuously records:

• your GPS position,

• your altitude,

• your speed,

• the variometer data provided by the Solar.

It is important that the Solar remains connected to the application throughout the entire flight to ensure a complete recording.

End of recording

Recording stops automatically when the application detects that you have landed. The flight is then saved in the application and can be automatically sent to your Syride flight book.

Important

Flight recording requires an active Bluetooth connection between the Solar and the Syride Link application, as well as proper GPS reception on your phone. Without connection to the application, the Solar continues to operate as a variometer, but no flight will be recorded.
